He was predeceased by: his wife Mildrene Houk; and his parents, Poter Houk and Effie Houk. He is survived by: his children, David Houk (Melinda), Christy Ramey (Larry), Betsy Manship and Ashlie Kirby (Robert); his close friend Linda Cooper; and his grandchildren, Emily Maxwell (Bobby), Justin Manship (Amanda), Alan Ramey (Lindsay), Jaime Dennison (Greg), Andrew Houk (Lauren), Lauren Huffman (Jeremy), Katie White (Sam), Austin Ramey, John Patrick Kirby, Erin Powell (Noah), Sloan Bull and Cara Kirby. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
