It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Leonard Stinson of Horse Cave, Kentucky, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Leonard Stinson and Louise Bunnell Stinson; his sister Janet Carroll Stinson; his stepson Frankie Walters; his son-in-law Jimmy Briggs; and his former wife Janice Doyle Stinson.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Medeires Stinson; his children, Traci Briggs-McGuire (Sammy) of Glasgow, Kentucky and Todd Stinson (Kay) of Whitehouse, Tennessee; his stepson Scott Walters (Alena) of Munfordville, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law Teres Walters; his grandchildren, Spencer Walters (Ann), Kenzie Mohon (Lucas), Shelby Cravens (Matt), Austin Walters, Geran Minor, Blake Minor, Addison Briggs and Sharlee Walters; his great grandchildren, Jillian Walters, Oaklynn Mohon, Spence "Muscles" Walters, Adalyn Cravens and Briggs Cravens; his caregivers, Wanda Long and Diane Lopez; and his close friend Tommy Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ARK, Hospice of Southern Kentucky, or Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
