She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Beasley and Margaret Lindsey Beasley; her husband Norman Porter; her brothers, Kenneth Lee Beasley and Lenard C. Beasley; and her grandson Jason Daughtry.
She is survived by: her children, Portia Mayer, Theresa Payton (J. T.), Kenneth Calloway Sheila, Thomas Calloway and Dale Calloway (Karen); and her sisters, Betty Roach and Lydia Beasley. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
