He was predeceased by: his father John T. Burdin; his former wife Peggy Daugherty Burdin; his wife Violet Geary Burdin; his daughter Kim Burdin Daugherty; and his siblings, Linda Burdin and W. H. Burdin.
He is survived by: his children, Norman Burdin (Lisa) of Morgantown and Melinda Gary (Bobby) of Horse Branch; his grandchildren, Amy Daugherty, Sarah Clark (David), Chris Gary (Trina), Melissa Hitchel (Kevin), Alexis Burdin and Noah Burdin; his great grandchildren, Keaton Gary, Keirsten Gary, Kailynn Gary, Myla Hitchel, Brooks Hitchel, Tre Scott Clark, Alexia Clark and Elizabeth Clark; his great great grandchild Alexander Scott; and his brother Larry Burdin (Novella) of Horse Branch.
