She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Doolin and Belva Decker Doolin; her son William Dean Whitten; and her siblings, David Doolin, Eugene Doolin, Anna Mae Wilson and Evalene Nabours.

She is survived by: her husband Billy Ray Tate of Horse Branch; her sons, Ricky Wayne Whitten of Hammond and Brian Dale Whitten of Owensboro; her stepchildren, Bryan Tate of Hessville, Indiana and Tracy McGuire of Crown Pointe, Indiana; her grandson Brian Michael Dean Whitten; and her brother Danny Doolin of Evansville, Indiana.. She is also survived by five step grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
