He is survived by: his wife Debra McGrew Mathis; his children, Johnnie Marvin Mathis, Jr. (Amy), Kevin Scott Mathis (Jamie), Derek Mathis, William Travis Royster (Kerstin) and Devin Shay Staves (Cain); his grandchildren, Dylan, Makayla (Austin), Jacob, Jonah, Mikah, Jaydn, McKenna, Tavish, Caige, Dallas and Elam; his great grandchild Adelaide; and his siblings, Georgia, Lloyd and Debbie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Caneyville Funeral Home (201 E Maple St, Caneyville, KY 42721). A burial will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Woodcock Cemetery.
