He was predeceased by: his father Homer Johnson; his wife Betty Joan Albin Johnson; and his brothers, Chelcie Johnson, Randall Johnson and Thornton Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Dennis Johnson (Kim) of Horse Branch; his brother Milford Johnson of Horse Branch; and his grandchildren, Corrie Porter, Monica Johnson (Adam), Lacey Porter (Justin) and Stephen Woomer (Haley). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
