He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Tarrence and Pearlie Phelps Tarrence; his wife Sheila Kay Tarrance; his siblings, Johnie Tarrence, Elbert Tarrence, Margie Craig, Elmon Tarrence, Chesford Tarrence, Gilmon Tarrence, Eardeen Heflin and Ovaleen Wilson; and his sister-in-law Carmelree Tarrence.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Coy Heflin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
