She was predeceased by: her husband Kendell B. Mitchell; her brothers, Bernard Whitehouse and Eddie Whitehouse; and her stepsisters, Johnnie Pauline Hurt and Betty Marie Givens.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Mitchell (Marty) of Hartford, Bruce Mitchell (Lena) of Hartford and Brent Mitchell (Robin); her pet Branch; her siblings, Mike Whitehouse of Utica and Hilda Funk (Bobby) of Hartford; and her stepsiblings, Lewis Hopper, Richard Hopper (Jane), Edward Ray Hopper (Kathy), Shirley Himes and Suzanne Mcuen. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
