He is survived by: his wife Betty Cook Swearingen; his daughter Julie Swearingen Jones (David) of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren, Preston Jones and Connar Margaret Jones; and his brother-in-law Edward Dose of Crystal Lake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
