He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Simpson and Nellie Marsh Simpson; and his siblings, James O. Simpson, Douglas Simpson, Juanita Johnson, Pauline White, Edith Jones and Helen Good.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Stewart Simpson of Hopkinsville; his stepson Michael Brown of Hopkinsville; and his siblings, Carolyn Sugg (Charles) of Christian County, Keith Simpson of Hopkinsville, Kenneth Simpson (Diane) of Christian County, Clifford Simpson (Carol) of Christian County, Hilmond Simpson (Sue) of Christian County and Nell Cooper of Morton Gap.
