It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Lee Bacon (Hopkinsville, Kentucky), who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bacon and Etta Bell Dillard Bacon; and his siblings, Elmo, Monroe, Roosevelt of Robert, Gordon, Tommy Bacon, Dorothy Singleton and Laura Bacon Radford.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Coleman Bacon; his children, Barbara Bacon Bussell and Walter Neil Bacon; his brother George Richard Bacon; his grandchildren, Javonda Bacon, Clarence Michael Bussell, Jr. and Elisha Watkins (John); and his great grandchildren, Jamoncell Redd, Jeveah Finch, Sevin Bussell, Aydin Watkins and Elijon Watkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gamble Funeral Home (1311 Liberty St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
