He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Hill and Alice Freeman; and his adoptive father Andy E. Taylor (Samuel Taylor). He is survived by : his wife Sarah Torian Taylor of Hopkinsville; his children, Eric Evans (Franque), Samuel Taylor Jr. (Lynette), Linda Oldham (Leon), Karen Wallace and Kimberly Taylor; his siblings, Judith Story, Shirley Wallace, Rosie Jean Hearns, Brenda Gates Bessemer, Mamie Wilson (Eugene) and Andy Taylor Jr.; his godchild Laka Green-Wilson (Isiah); and his brother-in-law William Torian (Diana). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
