He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawernce Sheilds and Margaret Leinicke Sheilds; his stepson Kelly Minton; and his brothers, Richard Shields, Kenneth Shields and James Shields.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Shields of Hopkinsville, KY; his stepsons, Brad Minton (Linda) of Hopkinsville, KY, Phillip Minton (Sheila) of Argyle, TX and Chuck Minton (Ashley) of Hopkinsville, KY; and his siblings, Thomas Shields (Linda) of Rockwood, IL, Michael Shields (Kathy) of Smithon, IL and Lois Shields of Chester, IL. He is also survived by his three grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren.
