He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Simpson, Sr. and Mary Rogers Simpson Waggoner; his son William Barry Simpson; and his brother Glenn Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Simpson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; his children, Jamey Simpson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Justin Simpson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Steven Combs of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Becky West (Jeff) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Kelly Gee of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Nicole Goodman of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Stefanie Combs of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and his sister Janet Sanderson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
