He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Finchum and Mamie Finchum (Payne); his wife Betty Finchum; his siblings, Jack Finchum, Lee Finchum, Joe Finchum and Jennie Coppinger; and his grandson Timothy Wayne Finchum.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Finchum (Donna) of Christian County, KY and Susan Meador (Rusty) of Christian County, KY; his brother Steve Finchum of Christian County, KY; and his grandchildren, Tammy Stevenson (Austin), Ralph Meador and Sherry Jensen (Matt). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
