He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowery S. Petty and Willye P. Fentress Petty; and his wife Mary Allen Petty. He is survived by: his children, Julie Petty Jenkins (Jerry) of Hopkinsville, KY, Keith Petty of Hopkinsville, KY and David Petty (Kristie) of Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Jessica Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins (Macie), Tyler Petty (Lacey), Tanner Daugherty and Maci Petty; and his great grandchildren, Sloan Jenkins, Steele Jenkins and Tilly Petty.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home (700 Country Club Ln, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens (5325 Cadiz Rd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240).
