He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Cortez Sloan and Aileen Brown Sloan; and his daughter Gina Gay Sloan Updike. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Patrick Sloan; his children, Geoffrey [Gail] Sloan and Lynne [Jason] Hancock; his grandchildren, Geoffery [Ashley] Sloan, Erin [Chase] Jenkins, Carrie Updike, Michael Updike, Tyler [Ashley] Hancock, Addison [Dray] Curtis, Sara Kate [Luke] Davis and Judson Sloan; his great grandchildren, Katie Jenkins, Karleigh Jenkins, Hailey Updike, Micah Davis, Raylee Hancock, Nolan Sloan Davis, Drayton Curtis and Lowry Anne Davis; and his siblings, Peggy Ferrell, Juanita [Dave] Dilick, Edward [Wanda] Sloan and David [Hallie] Sloan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
