He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Philpott and Lorene Mauldin Philpott; and his siblings, Mae Lucas, Christine Morrow, James Hester, Junior, William and Charlie Philpott.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Clark Philpott; and his children, Julie Nichols of Hodgenville and Eddie Philpott of Radcliff. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
