She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gene and Virginia Taylor Buchanan Zieg; and her siblings, Jack Zieg and Ree Ann Berquist. She is survived by: her husband Harold Skaggs; her children, Melanie Read (Ronnie) of Magnolia and Mike Skaggs of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Hilary Skaggs, Hannah Stevenson (John), Aaron Mayfield, Austin Mayfield and Jordan McGaw (Haylee); her great grandchildren, Emma Mayfield, Scarlett Stevenson, Owen Stevenson, Elliott McGaw, Beckham Mayfield and Judah McGaw; and her brother Bobby Hodges of Flatwoods.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM and from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home (208 W Water St, Hodgenville, KY 42748). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at the Buffalo Cemetery (2713 Greensburg Rd, Buffalo, KY 42716).
