With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Lee Kirby Sr. of Hodgenville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 28, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Roger Lee leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his son Tony Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kirby; his son Roger Lee Kirby Jr. (Debora); his grandchildren, Ashlee Stinnett (William), Casey Messmer-Cotterell (Robert), Shea Kvachuk, Robert Kirby (Amanda) and Brian Kirby; and his brothers, Ricky Spears and Jimmy Kirby. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home (208 W Water St, Hodgenville, KY 42748). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
