He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bishop Carter; his children, Lisa Carter Grant, Ricky Carter and Tommy Melton; his grandchildren, Justin Carter (Abby), Kaylyn Carter, Alex Carter, BryAnna Grant, Destiny Hodges (Jordan), Emily Metcalf, Matthew Melton (Kim) and Clinton Melton; his great grandchildren, Knox, Wren Carter, Kinzlee Hodges, Taylor, Ryleigh, Emma and Hazel Melton; and his siblings, Shirley Warren (Mitchell) and Robert Peace.
