It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Wilcox of Hitchins, Kentucky, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Mauk and Nellie Dewald Mauk; and her siblings, William Mauk, Louis Mauk, Mavis Thomas and Eleanor Raffoni.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Wilcox, Sr.; her children, Samuel Wilcox, Jr. of Hitchins, KY, Steven Abraham Wilcox of Savannah, GA, Sandie Alissa Greene of Hitchins, KY and Sarah Wilcox Saxton of Oswego, PN; and her sisters, Dorothy Arning, Helen Shackelford and Mary Francis Secrist. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice at 1480 Carter Avenue Ashland, Kentucky 41101.
