Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carrie Walker Newberry (Hiseville, Kentucky), born in Gradyville, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 97, on December 8, 2019. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Richard Walker, Sr. and Gertrude Kinnaird Walker; her husband James Newberry; and her brother William Richard Walker, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Newberry (Cheryl Ann) of Louisville and Steve Newberry (Vickie) of Hiseville; her grandsons, Walker Newberry of Hiseville, Drew Newberry of Louisville and Will Newberry of Louisville; her sister Helen Walker Kemp of Lexington; and her former husband Kenneth Shipp of Columbia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Barren County Educational Foundation.
