He is survived by: his wife Dixie Fearin Smoot; his son Ricky C. Smoot (Jackie Johnson Smoot); his grandchildren, Stacy McKenzie Smoot of Hillsboro, Kentucky. and Jonas Patrick Smoot of Hillsboro, Kentucky.; his brothers, Clark Smoot (Pat) of Converse, Jesse "Tone" Smoot of Ringos Mills and Robert Smoot (Kathy) of Jackson, Kentucky; and his sister-in-law Diane Smoot of Morehead. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
