He was predeceased by: his parents, John Huff Thompson and Freda Parish Thompson; and his brother Johnny Thompson. He is survived by: his sons, Danny "Hoot" Thompson II (Cristal) of Toledo and Billy John "B. J."; his grandchildren, Paige Thompson, Sydney Thompson, Josie Thompson and Jacie Thompson; the mother of his children Debra Weaver of Crain Creek; his siblings, William "Bill" Thompson (Melissa) and Jacqueline Johnson (Sean) of Maxey Flat; and his sister-in-law Connie Thompson of Morehead. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
