He was predeceased by: his parents, Elza Cornett and Goldie Markwell Cornett; his brothers, Wendell Cornett and Bob Cornett; and his granddaughter Jennifer Cornett.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jamison Cornett; his children, James "Jim" Cornett (Kim) of Whitehouse, Ronnie Cornett (Claudia) of Hillsboro, Jonathan Cornett (Niki) of Morehead, Janet Kelsey (Clint) of Morehead and Billie Jo Odaker of Florida; and his siblings, Travis Cornett (Shirley) and Martha Temple of Morehead. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
