He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Ishmael and Louise Glascock Ishmael; his brother William "Pretty" Ishmael; and his wife Neva Hamilton Ishmael. He is survived by: his children, Albert "Hookie" Ishmael, Jr. (Fonda) and Barbara "Puddin" Ishmael Mercer (Mike Hunt) of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Ryan Ishmael, Andrew Ishmael, Brittany Ishmael and Brandon Mercer; and his siblings, Donnie Ray Ishmael of Hillsboro, Ruth Ann Harmon of Flemingsburg and Barbara Daily of Hillsboro. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
COVID-19 regulations as set forth by the state will be observed.
