He is survived by: his children, Gene Malkemus of Millbury, Ronnie Malkemus, David Malkemus of Curtice and Pamela Malkemus of Frakes; his grandson Nicholas Logan of Frakes; and his siblings, Darlene Keene, Gary Sheets and Wayne Sheets. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
