He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Ann Probus (Dennison); his parents, Oscar Probus and Myrtle Probus; his siblings, Jim Probus, Gene Probus and Lucille Blakley; and his son-in-law Frank McClain.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Probus (Becky) and Kathy McClain; his grandchildren, Justin Probus (Shelly), Sean Hall (Heather), Whitney Leathers (Colin), Jason Epperson (Christine), Carrie Sullivan (David) and Robert McClain (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Lydia, Layna, Lynden, Anniston, Denver, Hunter, Emily, Olivia, Spencer, Brandon, Siearra, Kendrick, Jase, Malorie, Natalie, Wesley, Furious, Ethan, Kieron and Kendall; his great great grandchildren, Xavier and Winona; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Cash and Charlie Probus (Pat).
