It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Schonburg (Highway, Kentucky), born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 15, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Terry Schonburg; and her siblings, Thelma Barton, Hub, Norman and Herman Wessel.
She is survived by: her husband Walter "Sonny" Schonburg; her children, Joni Petter (Robert), Danny, Scott (Tracie) and Keith Kenny (Lisa); her grandchildren, Amber Atkinson-Petter (Jill), Aaron Petter (Katherine), Chad (Lindsay), Brittany Cooper (Cody), Zac Malcolm (Jenna), Melody Hill (Cory), Cody (Erin), Conner (Micha Ernst) and Kennedy Seth (Cameron Scott); and her siblings, Ethel Bohannon, Art Wessel and Bob Wessel. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude's Children Foundation or Hosparus of Louisville.
