She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Shupe and Flossie Fields Shupe; her former husband Leland Arthur McNeil; her husband Clarence Benedict, Jr.; her siblings, Walter William Shupe (Mina), Wayman "Red" Scott Shupe (Mary), Granville Mitchell Dee Shupe (Sally), Rebecca "Kate" Catherine Shupe Ellis (Albert), Inez Bessie Shupe Ellis (Henry) and Billie Floyd Shupe McNeil (Dwight); and her granddaughter Katherine "Katie" Hannah Grizzell.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ann McNeil Grizzell (Kendall) and Arthur Lee McNeil (Marlene); her grandson Aaron Lee McNeil (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Parker Lee McNeil and Hayden Ryan Thomas McNeil; and her brother Phillip Lawrence Shupe (Janis). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
