He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Virginia; his wife Pamela Sue Shay-Greenert; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Shay Zwelsky and Donna Shay; his nephew Christopher Shay; and his nieces, Christine and Carrie Shay.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Greenert (Amy) and Riley Greenert; his granddaughter Brooklyn Greenert; his siblings-in-law, Bruce Shay, Chuck Shay and Connie Shay; and his nieces and nephews, Nick (Chelsie), Jacob Shay, Jennifer Watson (Jason), Anna Hamann, Caitlyn and Jessica Shay.
