He was predeceased by: his former wife Cleo Carol Drown; and his parents, Edwin Drown and Angela Drown. He is survived by: his wife Patsy A. Drown; his sister Margaret A. Strange; his brother-in-law Danny Hronek (Alice); and his nieces and nephews, Brian Strange (Jen), Phil Strange (Melody), Jeffrey Strange (Shellie), Robert Hronek (Jan), Cory Ament (Kristina), Megan Strange, Sandy Cornett (Kevin) and Carrie Smith (Chris). He is also survived by 14 great nephews and nieces.
