He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shay and Vala Shay (Riley); his daughter Christine Shay; his sisters, Pam Greenert, Debbie Zelwesky and Donna Shay; his brother-in-law Stacey Greenert; and his niece Carrie Shay.
He is survived by: his nephew Christopher Shay; his children, Nick Shay (Chelsie), Jacob Shay and Riley Greenert; his grandchildren, Jordan Watson, Malia Shay and Nicholas Shay, Jr.; his brother Chuck Shay; and his friends, Phil Liles and Jim Profitt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
