He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judy Ann Jackson; his children, Jennene Painter (Jed) of Hendersonville, TN, Cheri Sander (Tony) of Madison, AL, Vanessa Gentry (Danny) of Sulphur, LA and Jody Jackson (Beth) of Elizabethtown, KY; his grandchildren, Jessica, Andy Oliveras, Justin Painter, Danielle, Derek Sander, Michael Jardell and Evan Jackson; and his sister-in-law Diane Medley. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
