He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Melvin Hampton of Gaffney; and his grandparents, T. C. and Ruth Maxey of Clinton, Kentucky.. He is survived by: his mother Jeanette Maxey Hampton of Laurens; his children, Michelle Petruzalek (Chad) of Bradley, Illinois, Jordon Hampton (Echo) of South Bend and Ryan Hampton (Jaime) of Marcellus, Michigan; and his siblings, Mona Ivy of Orange City, Florida, Paul Hampton (Robin) of Edwardsburg and Max Hampton of Boaz, Kentucky. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
