He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul and Charlene Schmidt West; and also Payne. He is survived by: his children, Paul West (Cheryl) of Mayfield and Lori Grantham (Jeremy) of Boaz; his brother John Phillip West (Stephanie) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Kobe Burnett (Codi) of Hickory, Kade Burnett (Sidney) of Hickory, Conner West (Amber) of Mayfield, Shane Walker (Michelle) of Hickory, Taylor Grantham of Farmington, Luke Grantham of Boaz, Finley Grantham of Boaz and Grayson Grantham of Boaz; his great grandchildren, Bryar Burnett, Blake Burnett, Miles Walker and Willow Walker; and his close friend Jan Johnson of Mayfield.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Byrn Funeral Home (1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
