He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer R. Kinder and Myrle Hogge Kinder; his former wife Myrtle Irene Wilson Kinder; his sons, Steve Michael Kinder and Joseph Allen Kinder; his granddaughter Tiara Kinder Combs; and his siblings, Elmer R. Kinder, Jr., Paul Kinder and Lula Jane Curtis.
He is survived by: his wife Dollie McGuire Kinder; his daughter Jackie Petersen (John) of Fairfax, Virginia; his stepsons, Louis Zehnder (Kelly) of Lexington and Thomas Zehnder (Bernice) of Georgetown; his brother Gilbert Kinder of Flemingsburg; his grandson Michael Douglas Kinder (Jaime) of Morehead; and his stepgrandchildren, Breanna, Ashley Zehnder of Georgetown and McKenzie Zehnder of Lexington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; extended family members; and many friends.
