He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Thompson and Barbara Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Shelly Thompson of Hickory; his son Kyler Ray Thompson of Hickory; and his siblings, Wayne Thompson of Hickory and Katrina Huss of Wingo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
