It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Scoggins of Hickory, Kentucky, who passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband J. E. Scoggins; her parents, Houston Ivy and Clara May Ivy; and her siblings, Mamie Anderson, Margaret Boyett and Claude Ivy.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Watson (Randy) of Hickory, KY and Richard Scoggins (Malinda) of Mayfield, KY; her grandchildren, Amy Carrico of Mayfield, KY, Lindsey Penrod (Justin) of Hickory, KY and Matt Scoggins (Jana) of Mayfield, KY; her great grandchildren, Chloe Penrod, Caitlyn Penrod, Bailey Carrico, Layla Scoggins, Carter Carrico and Alden Scoggins; and her siblings, Willard Ivy and Eva Hopwood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sue's name to the Trace Creek Baptist Church Bicentennial Park or the New Pathways for Children.
