It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Rose of Hi Hat, Kentucky, born in Paintsville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 17, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Rose and Myrtle Rose; and his siblings, Vernon Rose (Gerturde), Dimple Crawford (Paul) and Shirley Hall (Robert Hall).

He is survived by: his wife Millie Ousley Rose; his daughters, Robin Rose and Autumn Rose; his grandchildren, Isabella Rose Amburgey and Chantz Cole; his brother Gary Rose (Yulanda) of Georgetown; his former wife Patti Hall Rose of Hi Hat; and his granddaughter Bella. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many great friends.

Both Jim and Millie would say that "the only silver lining to pandemic was they became best friends" and the pandemic allowed them to build their loving relationship with the addition of daily Christian devotionals. Due to COVID a Private Family Tribute Service will be held at Hindman Funeral Home 6-9 Wednesday, March 24th.
