William left this world on June 20, 2024 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Hicks and Viona Hicks; his wife Agnes Cates Hicks; his daughter Vicky Sawyer; and his siblings, Elaine Ross and Linville Hicks.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Phillips (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Joey Sawyer, Melissa Nantz, Laura Phillips and Sam Phillips; and his son-in-law Henry Sawyer. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
