He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecelia Hedges and William "WJ" Joseph Waggener; his stepfather Morris A. "Rock" Spalding; and his grandparents, James Thomas "Jim Tom" and Beatrice Buckman.
He is survived by: his wife Carla S Waggener; his children, Mindy Spainhoward (Jerry), Mary Christian (Kevin) and Lorrie Moseley (John); his grandchildren, Aaron Spainhoward (Madison), Austin Spainhoward (Jade), Jacob Spainhoward (Wendy), Lillian "Lilly" Christian, Abigail "Abby" Christian, Carter Moseley, Micaiah Spainhoward and Harrison Moseley; and his siblings, William "Scott" Waggener (Pamela), Kelly Gish (Rocky), Charles "Pat" Spalding (Melissa), Robert "Robbie" Spalding (April), Jerry Waggener and Mark Spalding (Evelyn). He is also survived by 3 Great-granddaughters.
