He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Joseph and Anna Rogers Heppler Mitchell; his wife Mary Angela Eblen Mitchell; his daughter Paula Kay Mayfield-Ford; his grandson Bennett Emmanuel Mitchell; and his brother Ralph Eugene Mitchell.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Ezra Mitchell (April) of Spottsville and Joseph Puhr Mitchell (Sabrina) of Mooresville; his siblings, Dee Anna Booker, Mary Martin Cooper (Michael), Laura Bea Mitchell (Karen) and Jay Aloysius Mitchell (Yolanda); his grandchildren, Zachary Drake Barnard of San Francisco, CA, Emily Ann Mitchell (Elijah Stewart) of Hopkinsville, Robert Davis Mitchell of Los Angeles, CA, Ellie McCallister Mitchell of Bowling Green, Samuel Rogers Mitchell of Spottsville, Audrey Kathleen Mitchell of Mooresville, Elias Franklin Mitchell of Mooresville, Ezra Joseph Mitchell of Mooresville and Lillian Elizabeth Mayfield (Mary Margaret Mayfield); his son-in-law Skyler G. Ford of Evansville; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Thomas Eblen (Patsy) and Deborah Jane Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
