He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Mays and Fannie Mays; his children, Tara Mays and Mitchell Mays; and his brother Johnny Mays.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Mays of Henderson, KY; his sons, Zach Mays (Summer) of Newburgh, IN and Drew Mays (Melanie) of Henderson, KY; and his siblings, Dora Caton of Nashville, TN, Nancy Morgan of Henderson, KY, Betty Mattingly of Corydon, KY and Roy Mays of Henderson, KY. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
