She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Woodard and Gladys Woodard; her husband William "Roy" Nichols; her brothers, Etsel Woodard and James Woodard; and her son David Wayne Hancock.
She is survived by: her children, Joda Southard (Tim) of Corydon, KY, Donna Crouch (Kenny) of Henderson, KY, Gary Hancock (Fannie) of Henderson, KY, Gene Hancock (Grace) of Henderson, KY, Mark Hancock of Robards, KY and Carl Nichols (Eva) of Corydon, KY; and her grandchildren, Jarred Hailman, Shanda Dixon, Kyle Southard, Chrissy Miller, Derek Hancock, Jonathan Hancock, April Pleasant, Dylan Nichols and Tyler Nichols. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home (629 S Green St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
