We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2024, at the age of 79, Mary Lou Smith Bantly (Henderson, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Mary Lou Smith find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosea Smith, Sr. and Mary Montell Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, Hosea Smith, Mike Smith and Pat Vowels of Henderson, KY.; and her friend Sandy Judd. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church (8158 KY-351, Henderson, KY 42420). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers please bring a pre-lit small Christmas tree that you will donate to someone in need for the Christmas season.
