She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Matthews and Mary Magdaline "Maggie" Matthews (Simmons); her husband Oscar Earl McBrayer; the father of her children Elwood "Woody" Huffer; her son Charlie Matthews; her siblings, Calvin Matthews and Jean Downs; and her son-in-law Gene Frymire.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Frymire of Henderson, KY. and Phillip Huffer (Kay) of Enfield, IL; her grandchildren, Shonna Riedell of Owensboro, KY, Michael Fleck of Henderson, KY, Anthony Huffer (Staci) of Carmi, IL. and Heather Brumfiel (John) of Dixon, KY; her great grandchildren, Isabela Riedell, Sophia Riedell, Connor Riedell of Olivia Riedell, K. T, Hailey Fleck, Aiden Fleck, Benjamin Brumfiel (Cassidy), Hannah Brumfiel, Drew Huffer and Abby Huffer; and her great great grandchildren, Evyn Grace, Dean Philip Brumfiel and Lydia Riedell.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Enfield General Baptist Church (319 Railroad Ave, Enfield, IL 62835).
Family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, or may be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
