He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Walter Cates and Charlotte Cates (Gregory); and his wife Betty Sue Gregory (Claybrooke). He is survived by: his girlfriend Margaret Hargrove; his children, Kim Noggle, Robbie Kendall, Kenett Gregory (Kari) and Chasity Gibson; and his sister Karen Cates. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
